• In search of ORLANDO’S BEST DENTIST, the Orlando Magazine conducted surveys of over 500 dentists in the area. Dr. Rebecca Pitts continues to be voted by her colleagues many consecutive years, including 2010.


• ACCREDITED FELLOW OF THE AACD  Dr. Pitts’ phenomenal clinical excellence has earned her the Accredited Fellow status from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). (see below what this means) The status denotes the highest level of achievement  in the Academy. Only 46 dentists worldwide have received this honor in twenty five years. 

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) is the world’s largest non-profit membership organization dedicated to advancing the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. The AACD was founded twenty-five years ago and is currently made up of over 8,000 cosmetic dental professionals.


The AACD offers the most recognized advanced credentialing programs in cosmetic dentistry - the Accreditation and the Fellowship.

The Accreditation is a credentialing program similar to the specialty board certifications in medicine. Accreditation candidates undergo a rigorous three-part process consisting of a written examination, submission of five clinical cases and an oral examination. A candidates who succeeds becomes an Accredited Member of the AACD. To date, there are approximately 275 Accredited Members.


The Fellowship is the highest level of credentialing. Fellowship candidates must be Accredited Members. Part of the requirement is the submission of fifty specific clinical cases, which will be judged with the most stringent guidelines. A candidate who succeeds is awarded the most prestigious status of the AACD - the Accredited Fellow. In the history of the organization, only 50 dentists worldwide has achieved this honor.

• ACCREDITATION EXAMINER  In addition to being Accredited Fellow Member of the AACD, she received the prestigious position as their Accreditation Examiner.


• PH.D. IN ADVANCED RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY  In addition to  her D.D.S. and D.M.D. degrees, Dr. Pitts completed post-doctoral residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. She  also completed the graduate program in the area of cosmetic, restorative, and high-tech dentistry from the Department of Restorative Sciences & Biomaterials, Boston University and was awarded the highest degree in the dental profession - the D.Sc. (Ph.D.) in Advanced Restorative Dentistry.


Dr. Rebecca Pitts has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. She lives in Central Florida with her husband-Charles, their Persian cat, and adopted Greyhound. A few of her hobbies include: decorating, painting, drawing, graphic designing, and shooting. She was the college games champion marksman.
